Sam and Sarah are an indie folk duo who enjoy singing harmony while playing with ukuleles, slide guitars and suitcase drums.
Sarah Summer is a traveling songwriter/folk artist who was born and raised in Summerville, South Carolina. She was gifted a ukulele by the baker where she was working as a cake decorator, and for the past several years she has been moving around the country living in hotel rooms and writing songs. She learned how to work with precious metals and gems from a fellow named Chimney while she was living in the desert.
Sam Smetana was named after a wolfdog and born the day his folks moved from their old trailer into their house in Clancy, Montana. He told his mother he wanted to play an acoustic guitar at the dinner table one night and ended up leaving on tour at sixteen to play bass in a rock band. His archtop is named Elise after the cat that helped raise him.
Their first EP will be released in early July.
